I didn’t really plan on posting about the dress I made until I had some better lighting and a better hanger (the one its on now is for bras), but then this happened on Facebook:
And so, without further ado, here is the dress I made:
I love the nursery rhyme fabric, my favorite is Humpty Dumpty. I found the fabric on clearance at JoAnn’s and actually ended up spending more on the contrasting fabric than I did on the print, but I really like them together.
Liz and I have both decided we want dresses like this, too.
The pattern is Simplicity #3765. I made it in the 18-21 lbs size. I might get around to making a matching hat someday. Emphasis on the might.
Also this week, I’ve been working on a couple other projects. I made this cute little pair of baby shoes by hand while watching the series finale of Lost. I like the shoes more than I liked the finale
I’ve also been working on Steve’s Hawaiian shirt quilt. For those of you who weren’t aware, Steve wore Hawaiian shirts a lot in high school, and so I inherited a tub full of them when we got married. I decided that I was going to go simply on this one and just made 9 1/2 inch squares. The top is about half way done, I hope to have this completely finished before he leaves for Washington D.C. next month.
Now, for those of you wondering what picture Stacy was referring to in the above Facebook conversation, I have to share with you the picture that she and Keith took. They were the winners of the Yoplait Nourish Your Inner Goddess Giveaway earlier this month, and so they sent me a picture of their sweet little Molly enjoying all the prize included. I’m afraid it is nearly too cute.
There you go! I think I’ll have to save the pictures showing everything I found at yard sales this morning for another day- my internet doesn’t like it when I upload so many pictures at a time!
