Wow. I almost didn’t leave my house on Saturday. I had nearly decided not to go look at yard sales, but then suddenly felt the urge overtake me and went anyway.
I’m sure glad I did.
At the first house I went to, I scored this rocking chair for $10. It needs a little bit of lovin, but the price was right! I told Steve that I feel like a real Mom now that I have a rocking chair.
I won’t tell you now what I found at the second yard sale, because it is going to be a birthday gift, but ask me later this month if I forget to tell you- its pretty darn cool.
At the next two yard sales, I got all of this for less than $25:
A 6 drawer organizer full of the previous owner’s crafting supplies ($2!)
A Boppy nursing pillow with cover ($4)
A baby bathtub that folds up for smaller storage ($2)
2 books for $1
And, I actually bought someone else’s used breast pump for $15. It is a double electric pump, and all of the parts can be sterilized, and it came with everything, highly endorsed. So, I decided it was worth saving the $200 we had thought about spending on a pump.
Then, at the last stop I made, I found a pretty white crib (without mattress) for only $5. I’d put it together for a better picture, but it seems like too much work for a lazy afternoon.
All in all, a pretty darn good day for yard sales! What treasures have you found this spring?
