I did pretty good for a few days there, didn’t I? I was on top of updating! I’ll try and keep it up to at least once or twice a week.
I’m enjoying being a housewife. Last month it felt like I was just on Christmas break, but now that Steve is back in school it feels real. And I love it! Evelyn is starting to have a little routine in her life and it makes my days more productive.
Nothing, however, compares to the impetus of a to-do list. I’ve discovered that if I make a to-do list first thing in the morning that I will go all day getting things accomplished and feeling energized by ticking things off my list. I’ve also discovered that the opposite is true. Take today, for example:
Instead of making my list this morning I decided to check my e-mail, which turned into blog-hopping, etc. Oops, forgot to take my shower before it was time to wake-up Steve, oh well. Hmm… breakfast at 10:30? How did that happen? I think I’ll do the crossword as well as the Sodoku this morning. I wonder what the ads have in them today… Wow, Evelyn already woke up from her morning nap? I guess I’ll put her in the bouncer and see if I can figure out how to use the Wii Fit. Wait, Steve is already home from school? I guess I better make some lunch, its 3:00 already… Evelyn is already up from her afternoon nap? Well, I’ll play with Steve until he has to go to work, and now its 5:00 and what have I done today??
See? Lists are important!
Alright, off to make myself an evening to-do list. Have a good one everybody!
