Several months ago, while reading someone’s blog review of a product, I noticed that the product that she was given to review was given to her for free and that she was also given another one to give away to a reader.
If you know me, you know I like free.
So, I checked out the site she listed, MyBlogSpark. I signed up, filled out surveys, and sometimes got e-mails asking me to fill out more surveys.
Well, a few weeks ago I was asked to review something!
Yoplait has a new product out which they call Greek Yogurt. Because a lot of the recipes I read say to use Greek Yogurt or else to strain regular yogurt, I was particularly intrigued. And then, a few days ago, I got a package in the mail with some coupons for free Yoplait Greek Yogurt, as well as a kit to “Nurture My Inner Goddess.”
Steve tells me that my inner goddess will be born in August, and that the things they gave me won’t fit her for several years.
I don’t think that is the inner goddess that they were referring to.
Anyhow, I went out and got some Greek Yogurt, and I was totally hyped. They have several different flavors. I chose Strawberry and Honey Vanilla. This yogurt is thick! No draining necessary here.
In all honesty, the flavor wasn’t my favorite. It wasn’t very sweet, sort of like plain yogurt that hasn’t had much flavor added. I can tell that the plain version would have been awesome in recipes which call for it, and I wished I had gotten one to try it out.
Secondly, the price in my neck of the woods was a bit steep for me. I wouldn’t have paid the $1.18 per container that it goes for regularly. Of course, if you know me, you know I’m a cheapskate. I sincerely miss the good ol’ days when you could count on yogurt to be on sale for 4 for $1.
But I haven’t told you about the other goodies they sent me yet!
The Goddess-Nurturing kit included slippers, a towel wrap, a scrubby sponge, a wooden massager thingy (thats the technical name), a nail brush, and a washcloth.
And guess what! Just like the someone’s blog review I mentioned at the beginning, they are offering a second package- including the yogurt coupons and the above items to one of my lucky readers!
Please leave a comment below- tell me your favorite yogurt flavor or just say hi, and I’ll use a random number generator (or a dice, I used to play D&D, so I might have a dice with enough sides on it to make that work) to pick a winner. This contest ends at midnight on Sunday, May 2nd.
The product, prize pack, information, and giveaway have all been provided by Yoplait through MyBlogSpark.
Thanks Yoplait and MyBlog Spark!
ROLL A 1 !!!! I like vanilla and plain yogurt the best. Yep I’m boring. I do like the extra thick yogurt though so this sounds yummy. I know what you mean about spendy. Yogurt is one of the few things Harvey eats and it kills me to spend $2.50 for 6 itty bitty containers. Coupons are the best.
I eat yogurt almost everyday. I’m a sucker for peach or strawberry.

Lemon yogurt is the best! None of those nasty chunks.
Yogurt isn’t good unless it has chunks or seeds in it. My favorites are peach or raspberry.
Mmmm, lemon yogurt is so good. And vanilla. While I was in Chile I think I had a carton of yogurt for breakfast every single morning. I just can’t get tired of it! When you get tired of one flavor, you can just switch to another!
Strawberry banana is my favorite flavor…..had some yesterday as a matter of fact. But it was an off brand and wasn’t as good as Yoplait.
Raspberry is my all-time favorite flavor!
Sounds good!! I like plain yogurt.
Raspberry is the way to got, I would say. 🙂
I love strawberry anything, including yogurt.
you are adorable
I always buy a bunch of flavors and just eat whatever ones Stacy doesn’t like.
Hmm.. sounds good with honey in it.
I like keylime pie flavor… 🙂
Love the new Yoplait Light Red Velvet Cake, but my all time fave is still the Blueberry.
